By: André Marin, Ombudsman of Ontario

Parent's for Children's Mental Health provides a voice for all children and their families who face the challenges of mental health problems in Ontario. Children with mental health problems cover a wide spectrum and PCMH strives to provide support across this spectrum also.

At one end of the spectrum are children with severe problems, many of whom have become part of the group addressed in the following report by Ombudsman Ontario "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" - Parents Forced to Place their Children with Severe Disabilities in the Custody of Children's Aid Societies to Obtain Necessary Care.
